KOTY LAPID
I am a storyteller:
Telling stories is a natural thing to me. I like to experiment the life. And then write about those experiments. Till I haven't write down them... I can't feel that they are really my experiments. I have been also fascinated by words. I like the sound and shape of them. When I finish writing a story, first I read it aloud to myself. Then I ask my family members and friends to read it to me. If the story 'sounds' good I know it is a finished story. If not... I go and re-write it.
I have always liked to learn new things. I like to discover the ever changing word around me, there is nothing that is trivial to me... most of the things are new and attractive to me. I think this is the reason that I am enchanted by children. This is the reason that I like so much writing children's stories.
Maybe it sounds a little bit strange... but I love my stories. Even if I struggle for finding the right words, the right expressions during the writing... when my story is finished, I love it. I love to re-read them over and over again, I love to enjoy again all those things that I know nobody just me could write it.
As I wrote, I always liked to tell stories. Liked also to draw
and paint. But I have never looked art as my major profession...
...Till my son has been diagnosed with cancer. In my
professional life I used to lecture... and when my son
got all those nasty treatments I could not continue
to lecture. My friends suggested to me to develop slides
that would contain my material and would be presented
by them. I developed the slides that contained written
materials and put there my art works also. I write children's
stories, short stories and short scientific articles.
